If there’s one word to describe the life of a middle school and high school student today, it would be MORE. They have more opportunities to do more things and go more places than any other generation before them.
Because there are so many other options, they skip church more often and attending regularly becomes less of a priority. In fact, studies show that as many as 70% of students walk away from their faith when they leave high school.
We know we can’t fix this on our own, and honestly, neither can you. That’s why in July we are going to open up a dialogue with parents of 6th-12th graders called “Better Together.” At these dinners hosted at the Oneighty building, we want to hear from you, and for you to hear from each other.
Parents, we need you. Will you join us?
Summer is here and we cannot wait for SUMMER NIGHTS! Typically, we head to our small groups on Wednesdays but instead, we are going to meet up on at The Lawn every Wednesday following United Night.
It starts June 8th and we will have worship, a message and time to hangout. This is for grades 9-12 and it will be from 6-9pm. See ya there!
